Mother charged for restraining son to oil tank

A Pennsylvania mother is facing charges for allegedly handcuffing her 11-year-old son to an oil tank while at work, according to Lebanon County Regional Police.

Officers found the boy restrained to a bunk bed railing after he escaped confinement in the basement but accidentally re-handcuffed himself.

The mother, Chazzity Candelario, admitted to using restraints due to difficulty managing her children and allegedly locked them in a utility room.

She remains in custody on $100,000 bail and is set to appear in court on January 23.
