Palmyra man faces multiple charges after traffic stop

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a 37-year-old Palmyra man following a traffic stop investigation stemming from May 2024.

Joseph C. Lamb, of Tellier Road, faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. Authorities allege the charges were uncovered during the May 2 traffic stop on Schilling Road in Palmyra. In addition to the criminal charge, Lamb received tickets for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations, including operating a motor vehicle without an inspection, driving unlicensed, aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, lacking stop lamps, and operating without a license plate.

Lamb was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing and later to the Wayne County Jail for fingerprinting and photographs. He has since been released and is scheduled to appear in Palmyra Town Court on February 4 at 5:00 p.m. to address the charges.

The investigation was led by Deputy Keller of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
