Canandaigua Zoning Board to hold first 2025 meeting Wednesday

The City of Canandaigua Zoning Board of Appeals will convene its first meeting of 2025 on Wednesday, January 15, at 7 p.m. in the Hurley Conference Room at 205 Saltonstall Street. The meeting will also be accessible online via Zoom and live-streamed on Finger Lakes TV for those unable to attend in person.

The agenda includes an organizational session where board members will elect a chair and vice-chair, establish regular meeting dates, and authorize the chair to call special meetings. Additionally, the board will review an application from Lincoln on Main seeking an area variance for a preexisting, nonconforming pole sign at 245 South Main Street. Pole signs are no longer allowed in the C-2 zoning district under the city’s current ordinance.

Residents interested in specific items can view indexed recordings of the meeting on demand through Finger Lakes TV’s website or Roku channel.

The city emphasizes its commitment to participatory governance and encourages community engagement in zoning and planning matters.
