Syracuse earned its first road victory of the season with a 79-71 win over Boston College, improving its record to 8-8 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
The Orange trailed by eight with 8:51 left in the second half but went on a 10-0 run to grab the lead and outscored the Eagles 31-17 over the final eight minutes to secure its second straight victory.
JJ Starling was Syracuse’s standout performer, scoring 26 points on 12-of-22 shooting while adding five rebounds and three assists. Meanwhile, Eddie Lampkin recorded another double-double, contributing 10 points, 13 rebounds, and three assists.
The team shot 49% from the field, outpacing Boston College’s 43%. Syracuse connected on 5-of-15 attempts (33%) from beyond the arc, while the Eagles went 4-of-15 (27%).
