Sabres allow six straight goals in home loss to Seattle

The Buffalo Sabres jumped out to a two-goal lead in the first period but allowed six unanswered, including four in the third, in an embarrassing 6-2 loss to the Seattle Kraken on Saturday evening at KeyBank Center.

The loss ended a two-game win streak for Buffalo (16-22-5) and handed them their eighth loss when tied after two periods, the second-most in the NHL.


Sam Lafferty (2) and Jack Quinn (8) were the goal scorers for the Sabres, while Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 24 saves. JJ Peterka notched two assists, while Rasmus Dahlin and Peyton Krebs added helpers.

The Sabres continue a three-game homestand Wednesday when they host the Carolina Hurricanes at 6 p.m.
