Middlesex woman arrested on assault, property damage charges

A Middlesex woman is facing charges after a confrontation in Yates County left another resident injured and personal property damaged, authorities said.

Jacquelyn S. Jackson, 47, was arrested by Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies on January 9 at 10:46 p.m. following an investigation into an incident that occurred the previous day. According to the sheriff’s office, Jackson caused unwanted physical contact that resulted in injuries to another resident in the Town of Middlesex. She is also accused of damaging property that did not belong to her.

Jackson was charged with third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief. After her arrest, she was transported to the Yates County Jail to await arraignment in the Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) court. She is expected to answer the charges in Middlesex Town Court at a later date.

No additional details about the incident or the victim’s condition were immediately available. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
