A Rochester woman was arrested Tuesday at Eastview Mall following a larceny at Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Marissa Lin Bauer, 27, was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, possession of burglar tools, and false personation after deputies from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office and mall security responded to the incident. Bauer was accused of leaving the store with unpaid merchandise.
During the investigation, deputies reported that Bauer initially provided a false name. Further inquiry revealed that she had multiple outstanding warrants from the Greece Police Department, also for grand larceny.
Bauer was issued an appearance ticket and banned from East View Mall property. She was subsequently turned over to Greece Police for the outstanding warrants. Bauer is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.
