Waterloo woman arrested for petit larceny and bail jumping

A Waterloo woman was arrested Tuesday after failing to appear in court on petit larceny and conspiracy charges, police said.

Shakeitha K. Scott, 40, was taken into custody by the Seneca Falls Police Department following a bench warrant issued for her failure to appear in court. Authorities said Scott was initially charged with petit larceny and conspiracy in the sixth degree.

In addition to the original charges, Scott now faces an additional charge of bail jumping in the third degree, a Class A misdemeanor, for repeatedly missing her scheduled court appearances.

Scott was processed and transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where she awaits arraignment.
