Two Lyons 911 dispatchers, Megan Williams and Makayla Mottler, were recognized for their quick actions that saved lives both on and off duty.
According to RochesterFirst.com, Williams guided a caller through CPR on a cyclist experiencing cardiac arrest, keeping him stable until help arrived. Mottler, while off duty, performed the Heimlich Maneuver on a choking woman at a restaurant, successfully clearing her airway.
Both dispatchers were praised by the sheriff’s office for their calm under pressure and dedication, highlighting the vital role 911 operators play in emergency response.
