The City of Canandaigua Planning Commission is set to meet on Wednesday, January 8, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hurley Conference Room at 205 Saltonstall Street. The meeting will also be accessible virtually via Zoom and live-streamed on Finger Lakes TV.
The commission’s agenda includes two key applications for review. The first is a public hearing for Application #24-363, where Amita Vyas seeks a Special Use Permit to operate a short-term rental at 205 Lakeshore Drive, Unit 407. This permit is a transfer of ownership from one previously approved in June 2024.
The second application, #25-002, involves Peter and Debra DeMarco, who are requesting approval for a Historic Alteration to make additions to both the west and east sides of their home at 151 Howell Street.
The meeting will also include an organizational session for the Planning Commission, where members will elect a Chair and Vice Chair, set dates for regular meetings, and authorize the Chair to call special meetings.
Residents are encouraged to attend in person, join the virtual meeting via Zoom, or tune in to the live stream. Indexed recordings will also be available for on-demand viewing after the meeting.
