The Livingston County Youth Bureau is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Teen Recognition Awards, an annual event celebrating outstanding teenagers who have made a positive impact in their communities.
Marking its 30th anniversary this year, the awards highlight youth who have demonstrated leadership, community involvement, or resilience in overcoming significant challenges. Eligible nominees must be at least 15 years old by February 7, 2025, and currently enrolled in school.
“Every year, we look forward to honoring those who prove that age is not a barrier to making a difference,” said Youth Bureau Deputy Director Mary Guldenschuh. “If there’s a teen in your life whose actions or behaviors have made our community a better place, we want to know. Please make your nominations today and help give our deserving teens this special recognition.”
The Youth Bureau encourages nominations from teachers, coaches, faith leaders, local officials, and community members who have witnessed teens making a difference.
Winners will be celebrated at a spring banquet featuring guest speakers and a catered dinner for recipients and their families. Over the past three decades, the Teen Recognition Awards have honored more than 2,000 local youth.
Nominations are due by February 7, 2025, at 4 p.m. For more information and submission instructions, visit the Livingston County Youth Bureau website or call (585) 243-6909.
