Generations Bank has rededicated its bell garden in Seneca Falls to honor the legacy of Menzo D. Case, the bank’s late President and CEO who passed away in October 2023.
Now called the Menzo D. Case Memorial Bell Garden, the space was originally unveiled in September 2022 and was envisioned by Case himself. Two new exhibit signs were installed to commemorate the rededication. One sign details the significance of the garden’s four bells, while the other highlights Case’s lasting impact on the Seneca Falls community and the broader Finger Lakes region.

“Menzo was a remarkable leader who deeply valued the history and heritage of Seneca Falls,” said Angela Krezmer, the current President and CEO of Generations Bank. “We are proud to rename the bell garden in his honor, as a tribute to the lasting impact he had on both Seneca Falls and the greater Finger Lakes community.”
The bell garden’s four bells mark significant milestones:
- The 150th anniversary of Generations Bank’s charter.
- The 175th anniversary of the Seneca Falls Convention.
- The 75th anniversary of the film It’s a Wonderful Life.
- The 170th anniversary of the ITT Goulds Pumps charter.
The bells ring daily at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., with the 11 a.m. chime serving as a nod to the start time of the historic Seneca Falls Convention on July 19, 1848. The garden also features the original Wescott Ruler bell, a notable artifact from the Seneca Falls Historical Society.
