Genesee Brewery is gearing up for its 10th annual Christmas keg tree lighting on Friday at the brew house on Cataract Street in Rochester. The 29-foot-tall tree, built from 650 kegs and adorned with 25,000 lights, marks a decade of this festive tradition.
The event, free and open to the public from 5 to 9 p.m., will feature holiday music, food trucks, and Genesee beer, including a special cinnamon-flavored Cream Ale.
Creator Mike Gaesser credits a collaborative team effort for bringing the iconic display to life each year.
