The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office is spreading holiday cheer with its annual “Toys for Tots Fill the Patrol Car” and “Coats for Kids” events scheduled for Saturday, December 7, at the Erwin Walmart Plaza.
From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., deputies will collect toys and new or gently used coats for children in need across Steuben County. The toys will be distributed through the Toys for Tots program, while the coats will go to local school districts to ensure children are prepared for the winter weather.
“This event has grown tremendously over the past five years, and the generosity of our community continues to inspire us,” Sheriff Jim Allard said in a statement. Last year’s turnout showcased the county’s deep sense of community, with overwhelming support for both initiatives.
For those unable to attend, donation boxes will be available in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office and the County Office Building in Bath.
The Sheriff’s Office extends its gratitude to everyone who donates, volunteers, or participates, ensuring hundreds of families receive support during the holiday season.
