Seneca Falls man taken into custody on felony charges after violent incident

A 46-year-old man was taken into custody Tuesday following a domestic dispute in which he allegedly caused significant property damage.

Ronald A. Collins, of Seneca Falls, is accused of damaging the victim’s property during the incident, including punching a television multiple times and throwing a coffee pot. The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department located Collins and arrested him without incident.

Collins has been charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, a Class E Felony. Following his arrest, he was processed and transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment. An order of protection for the victim has been requested.

No injuries were reported, and authorities have not disclosed additional details regarding the incident. If convicted, Collins could face severe legal consequences, including possible imprisonment.
