Romulus man charged with DWI after traffic stop

A Romulus man was arrested Saturday evening on charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated after being stopped by Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Craig A. Coonradt, 52, was taken into custody around 8:38 p.m. on November 24 following a traffic stop in the Town of Romulus. Authorities allege Coonradt was operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.18% or higher, more than twice the legal limit.

Coonradt was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Romulus Court at a later date.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reminds all motorists to avoid driving under the influence and to prioritize road safety, especially during the holiday season.
