A Newark woman has been arrested on multiple charges related to falsified court documents, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Mary E. Flynn, 34, was charged with two counts of Forgery in the Second Degree and two counts of Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the Second Degree.
According to investigators, Flynn allegedly completed two petitions requesting orders of protection through the Wayne County Family Court without the knowledge of the individuals named in the documents. She is accused of forging both the respondents’ signatures and the signature of a notary public before submitting the falsified documents to the court.
The investigation was conducted by Detective Hares and Deputy Klinkman, with Flynn being arrested at approximately 5:40 a.m. on November 25. She was transported to the Wayne County Jail and is awaiting arraignment in Wayne County CAP Court.
Flynn’s legal proceedings are set to begin later today, with charges that carry serious consequences under New York law.
