The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Newark man following an investigation into a domestic dispute reported early Monday morning at a residence on Sunderville Road in the Town of Galen.
Deputies allege that Jerald I. Hughson, 64, of West Sherman Avenue, entered the residence without permission despite being repeatedly informed that he was not allowed there. Authorities also accuse Hughson of persistently contacting the victim through numerous phone calls and text messages after being told to cease communication.
Hughson was arrested on charges of Criminal Trespass, Stalking, and Aggravated Harassment. Following his arrest, he was processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and transported to the Wayne County Jail. He was arraigned on Monday.
