The council discussed Local Law #2024-004, which would set sewer rent charges based on water consumption or measured sewer discharge. If adopted, rates would be $6.4282 per 1,000 gallons, with a minimum quarterly charge of $72. Revenues from these rents would fund operation, maintenance, and capital projects for the city’s sewer system. They also held a public hearing on the proposed budget.
