A Newark man is facing charges of driving while intoxicated after being stopped by Seneca County deputies last week.
Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reported that deputies arrested Gary Russell Jr., 34, following a traffic stop in the Town of Tyre. Authorities allege that Russell was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher.
Russell was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Tyre Court on December 17 to answer the charges.
Sheriff Thompson reminds residents to avoid impaired driving and encourages the community to report any suspicious behavior on the roads.
