The Lansing Central School District (LCSD) is set to begin the third phase of its $17 million capital improvement project next spring, aiming to bring essential upgrades to school facilities.
School officials shared updates on the project, approved by voters in early 2023, during an Oct. 28 board meeting, noting that the district is now seeking contractor bids following recent approval from the New York State Education Department.
Phase three will focus on improvements at Lansing High School, including renovations to the courtyard, a new PA system for R.C. Buckley Elementary, and updated doors for the middle school. Bids are due Dec. 5, with construction expected to begin in early spring.
The BOBCAT project, initially proposed at $23 million, is being completed in three phases, focusing on infrastructure, safety, and athletic facility upgrades.
