A Canandaigua man was arrested on a bench warrant Saturday evening after he allegedly resisted deputies’ attempts to take him into custody, according to Ontario County officials.
Thomas William Schwab, 40, was taken into custody at the Ontario County Jail on County Complex Drive around 5:30 p.m. The warrant was issued after Schwab reportedly failed to appear in court on a harassment charge. When deputies attempted to make the arrest, Schwab resisted, authorities said.
Following his arrest, Schwab was arraigned at the Ontario County Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to return to Canandaigua Town Court on a later date to address the charges.
