Police in Seneca Falls arrested a 15-year-old following a vehicle pursuit that began as a traffic stop on November 2.
According to the Seneca Falls Police Department, the teen, who has not been named due to age, allegedly fled officers in a motor vehicle when they attempted to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation. The incident escalated into a pursuit, ending with the juvenile facing multiple charges.
The teen is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the third degree and unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree. Both offenses are misdemeanors under New York state law.
Following the arrest, the juvenile was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear at the Seneca County Probation Office Youth Division. Further details on the incident and the condition of the vehicle were not immediately available.
