With Election Day fast approaching, New York election officials and the USPS are reminding voters of key deadlines for mail-in ballots.
All ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 5, Election Day, and received within seven days to be counted. Voters also have the option to drop off ballots at polling sites or place them in secure drop boxes.
The USPS advises voters to mail ballots well before Election Day to ensure timely delivery.
For voters overseas, including service members, ballots postmarked by Nov. 5 have an extended 14-day deadline for receipt.
