Routine traffic stop results in DWI charge for Savannah resident

A routine traffic stop in Waterloo on October 5 resulted in the arrest of a man for driving while intoxicated.

Monte R. Carr, 53, of Savannah, was charged after officers determined his blood alcohol content exceeded .08%.

The stop occurred around 11:06 p.m. when police pulled Carr over for allegedly speeding and driving while intoxicated. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Waterloo Court at a later date.
