A Newark man was arrested Monday evening in connection with a narcotics investigation that spanned multiple counties, the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Yadiel “Yadi” Roque Correa, 35, was taken into custody on Teft Ave. in Clifton Springs around 10:56 p.m. on September 23. Correa, who is currently on felony parole for previous drug charges and has four prior felony convictions, faces a new charge of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the second degree, a Class A2 felony.
The arrest followed a joint investigation involving the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Canandaigua Police, Geneva Police, and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. The probe extended between Ontario and Wayne counties and led to the execution of multiple search warrants in Wayne County. Authorities seized cocaine, ammunition, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia in connection with the investigation.
Correa was arraigned at CAP Court and is being held without bail at the Ontario County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Hopewell Court at a later date to address the charges.
