Finger Lakes Community College alumnus Tim Springer, a 2003 men’s basketball standout, has been chosen as one of 12 participants in the 2024 NBA Future Basketball Operations Stars (FBOS) Program. Springer, an internationally renowned player development coach based in San Antonio, founded Spartan Basketball in 2006, working with athletes across the NBA, WNBA, and international leagues.
Springer credits his time at FLCC for shaping his passion for basketball and coaching. “FLCC gave me a chance to play college basketball and fall in love with the game,” he said, praising former head coach Richard Jones for his mentorship. Jones lauded Springer’s dedication, saying, “Tim achieved success through sheer will and hard work.”
Springer looks forward to expanding his knowledge of professional basketball operations through the FBOS Program, envisioning growth for his 140-player development program.
