A late-night crash in the Town of Sempronius led to the arrest of a local woman.
Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck reported that deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on Bear Swamp Road, where they found an unoccupied SUV in a ditch.
After a brief search, deputies located the driver, Hannah P. Mcumber, 24, nearby.
Mcumber was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, both misdemeanors.
She was also cited for multiple traffic violations, including having an open container in the vehicle. Mcumber was arraigned and released on her own recognizance, pending a court appearance.
