Campbell’s Soup changing name, dropping ‘soup’ from its historic identity

The Campbell Soup Company is undergoing a historic transformation, announcing plans to drop the word “Soup” from its name. Revealed during the company’s Investor Day on September 10, Campbell’s will rebrand as The Campbell’s Company, a shift aimed at reflecting its broader portfolio of food and beverage products.

CEO Mark Clouse highlighted the move as part of a five-year transformation, noting that while soup remains a core focus, the company has grown to encompass brands like Prego, V8, and Goldfish. The rebranding is set to be approved by shareholders in November.

“This change respects our heritage but better represents who we are today,” Clouse said, emphasizing the company’s evolution beyond its iconic soup business.
