Christine Taylor, currently principal of Lyons Elementary School, has been appointed as the new assistant superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in the Waterloo School District. The Board of Education approved her appointment on August 26, with an annual salary of $125,000.
Taylor, who brings experience from both Lyons and Geneva school districts, will succeed Jennifer Hayden, now superintendent in Romulus. Lyons Superintendent Dr. Matt Barr expressed gratitude for Taylor’s service, with Rhonda Underhill stepping in as interim principal at Lyons Elementary.
Additionally, the Waterloo board appointed Tabitha Morris as the high school’s assistant principal, with a salary of $82,160.
