Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports a single-vehicle accident on September 1 around 3:15 p.m. on State Route 89 near Ernsberger Road in Varick.
The vehicle, driven by Janet Rodriguez, 59, of Kirkwood, NY, rolled onto its side, trapping both occupants inside.
Fire departments from Romulus and Fayette responded to the scene, successfully extricating Rodriguez and her son, Angel Febus, 38.
Rodriguez was treated and released on-site by South Seneca Ambulance, while Febus was transported to the hospital by North Seneca Ambulance for further evaluation of back and shoulder pain.
The accident occurred as Rodriguez attempted to turn onto Ernsberger Road, where the vehicle entered a ditch and overturned.
