Trump Campaign Allegedly Warned Before Arlington Cemetery Altercation

The Trump campaign was warned not to take photos before an altercation at Arlington National Cemetery, where the former president attended a wreath-laying ceremony, a defense official said Wednesday. The incident involved two Trump staffers reportedly pushing aside a cemetery official who tried to stop them from filming in Section 60, where Afghanistan and Iraq war veterans are buried.

Trump’s spokesperson denied the allegations, stating that a private photographer had been permitted. The cemetery, citing federal law, emphasized that political activities, including photography, are prohibited. Democratic leaders condemned the incident, calling it disrespectful to the service members honored there.

The altercation occurred during a ceremony commemorating the third anniversary of the Kabul airport bombing, which claimed the lives of 13 U.S. service members.
