Sodus Police Sergeant Cory M. Anderson, 43, was arrested on August 10 by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, accused of committing felony grand larceny. Anderson, who also works as a contractor, allegedly carried out four separate incidents at the Lowes store on Marketplace Drive in Henrietta between May and June 2024.
Authorities claim Anderson fraudulently returned merchandise valued at $2,347.17, receiving store credit and walking out with additional items without paying. Following his arrest, Anderson, who serves as a part-time officer for the Village of Sodus, was immediately suspended by the village, pending the case’s outcome.
Anderson has been released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Henrietta Town Court on September 3 at 4 p.m.
