A Newark woman was ticketed following a rear-end collision on Penfield Walworth Road in Walworth that sent a juvenile to the hospital. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported that Amy M. Ladd, 45, struck a vehicle that was stopped to turn left onto Larraine Drive around 4:44 p.m. Tuesday.
Ladd, who was traveling westbound, was cited for following too closely. The juvenile passenger in her vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital by Western Wayne Ambulance.
The Walworth Fire Department also assisted at the scene. Ladd is scheduled to appear in Walworth Town Court at a later date.
