Seneca Falls Police took Rebecca A. Mayo, 42, of Lyons, New York, into custody on Tuesday evening. Mayo was arrested for third-degree bail jumping, a class A misdemeanor, following her failure to appear in court for a previous petit larceny charge.
The bench warrant for Mayo’s arrest was issued in July 2024 after she missed her court date related to the August 2023 larceny case. Authorities noted that Mayo did not present herself voluntarily within the required 30-day period.
Mayo was apprehended at 8:28 p.m. and transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility. She is currently awaiting arraignment in the Centralized Arraignment Part Court.
