A new Pew Research Center study reveals that sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America are home to some of the most religious populations globally, with over 90% of adults in countries like Senegal and Tanzania emphasizing the importance of religion in their lives.
In stark contrast, fewer than 10% of adults in many European nations, including Estonia and Sweden, consider religion very important. The United States falls in the middle, with 42% of Americans placing high importance on religion, below the global median of 55%.
The study also highlights significant regional differences in daily prayer, with Latin Americans leading in devotion, while East Asians report some of the lowest prayer rates worldwide.
