The third annual Seneca Lake PURE Brew Week kicked off on July 27, uniting 11 craft breweries from the Seneca Lake Order of Brewers to support the Seneca Lake Pure Waters Association. The event, featuring a collaborative brew called PURE Pils, aims to raise awareness about preserving Seneca Lake.
“The team that put this beer together is nothing short of amazing,” said Ken Greenwood of Watershed Brewing Company. Brewed with NY Pilsner Malt and NY-grown Perle hops, PURE Pils has quickly become a favorite among patrons.
Participating breweries include Lucky Hare Brewing, WeBe Brewing Company, Brewery Ardennes, and more, with PURE Pils available at several local businesses. “This collaboration beer is a great opportunity to bring together our close community,” said Derek Edinger, owner of Brewery Ardennes. The event runs through August 4, with proceeds benefiting the Seneca Lake Pure Waters Association.
