State police say a Steuben County man was taken into custody last week after a months-long investigation ended in arrest.
Travis C. Peckham, 53, of Caton, was arrested on July 24 by New York State Police on ten counts of Criminal Sex Act 1st degree (B Felony) and ten counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A Misdemeanor).
The arrest follows a months-long investigation revealing that Peckham allegedly subjected a child under 11 years old to oral sexual conduct in 2022. He was taken to Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment.
The investigation involved collaboration with the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office and the Steuben County Child Advocacy Center.
