The Geneva Police Department held a ceremony on July 23, 2024, to promote Nicholas Bielowicz to the rank of lieutenant. City Clerk Nicole Tillotson administered the Oath of Office.
Lieutenant Bielowicz started his law enforcement career with the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office in 2003. He joined the Geneva Police Department in 2008 and became a sergeant in 2018. His roles include Crisis Intervention Team member and Tactical Warrant Services member, earning him two Life Saving Awards and three Police Excellence Awards.
Celebrating his promotion with family, Lieutenant Bielowicz now oversees the Uniformed Road Patrol Division.
