A Florida man was injured in a two-car accident in Lyons on July 9. Ronald Gillette, 76, of Kissimmee, was involved in a collision with a garbage truck at the intersection of State Route 14 and Sohn Alloway Road.
The incident occurred when Gillette attempted to pass the garbage truck on the left as it was turning, resulting in a collision. He was transported to Newark Wayne Hospital by Wayne County EMS for his injuries.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Wayne County EMS, and Lyons Fire Department responded to the scene.
