Mets hold off Pirates to snap three-game skid (highlights)

The New York Mets (43-44) got back in the win column with a 5-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates (42-46) on Saturday evening at PNC Park.

Luis Torrens opened the scoring with a bases-clearing double, Jose Iglesias added an RBI double, and Harrison Bader chipped in a sacrifice fly.

David Peterson surrendered two runs on five hits in 4.1 innings while walking two and striking out five. Jose Buttó, Reed Garrett, Dedniel Nunez, and Edwin Díaz combined for 4.2 scoreless.
