David Peterson surrendered two runs on five hits in 4.1 innings while walking two and striking out five. Jose Buttó, Reed Garrett, Dedniel Nunez, and Edwin Díaz combined for 4.2 scoreless.
The Mets will send Sean Manaea to the mound in game three of this four-game series on Sunday at 1:35 p.m.
