Deputies responded to a personal injury accident on State Route 5 and Buffalo Street Extension in Canandaigua on Wednesday, at 5:29 p.m. The crash involved two vehicles and resulted in two people being taken to the hospital.

Ryan Marshall, 46, was driving a Honda Civic eastbound with his passenger, Debra Marshall, 45, when he stopped to make a left turn. Rhonda Werner, 60, driving a Nissan Pathfinder with her passenger, Taffy Carroll, 61, could not stop in time and sideswiped the Civic, causing her vehicle to go off the road into a ditch.
