A disturbance on Ontario Street led to the arrest of a Canandaigua woman on June 1.
Cierra J. Smith, 38, was charged with assault, resisting arrest, and aggravated family offense. Police say Smith struck another person in the face several times and pulled out some of their hair while the victim was driving. Smith fled the scene but was found shortly after. She resisted arrest by laying on her arms and kicking at the officers.
Smith was taken to Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
