Other Half Brewing, based in New York City, has opened a new taproom on Canandaigua Lake at 24 Lakeshore Drive, previously the site of Young Lion Brewing Co.
The upstairs taproom is now open from Thursday to Sunday, with plans to open the ground-level taproom and extend hours in July, according to General Manager Andy Whitaker. The Canandaigua location had a soft opening last Saturday, drawing a good crowd despite no advertising.
This is Other Half Brewing’s eighth taproom. The brewery also operates a taproom in East Bloomfield. Moving operations to Canandaigua will allow for increased beer production. The East Bloomfield taproom will remain open, offering a different experience from the new location.
