Deputies say a Williamson woman was arrested after a length investigation into a hit-and-run that happened in late-September last year.
Carissa Bellinger, 24, of Williamson, was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident on September 26, 2023.
Bellinger is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident. Authorities say she rear-ended another vehicle at State Route 14 and State Route 31 in Lyons, then left the scene and struck a sign at Jackson and Phelps Streets. Tests showed positive results for marijuana and fentanyl.
Bellinger was found in Sodus Point on June 7, 2024, and taken into custody. She was released with traffic tickets and is set to appear in Lyons Town Court on July 2, 2024, to answer the charges.
