The Yates County Sheriff’s Office responded to a multi-vehicle accident on Route 14A in Milo on Saturday afternoon, leaving one person injured.

At around 3:16 p.m., a car driven by Brenden C. Manahan, 19, of Penn Yan, was rear-ended while stopped to turn into a business. The impact pushed Manahan’s car into oncoming traffic, where it was struck by a tractor-trailer driven by George E. Moore, 60, of Branchport. Moore and Manahan, along with passenger Jaxson M. Enos, 18, were not injured.

Thomas W. Robinson, 82, of Springwater, who was driving the car that caused the initial collision, sustained arm injuries. He was extricated from his vehicle and airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital. The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.

Authorities including Penn Yan Fire, Penn Yan and Yates County Ambulance, Mercy Flight, and the New York State Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
