  • Staff Report

Authorities say an Ontario County man is in custody after a threatening incident involving a knife.

Anthony Velez, 29, of Stanley, turned himself in on June 2 following an active arrest warrant. The charges stem from a May 26 incident where Velez allegedly broke a car window, showed a knife, and harassed the person inside.

Velez faces charges of third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree menacing, and second-degree harassment. He is being held for arraignment at CAP Court.

The incident and subsequent arrest highlight the importance of public safety and swift law enforcement response.
