Waterloo teens accused of assaulting two others on West Main St. late Thursday

Police say two teens were taken into custody after an assault in the village late-Thursday.

Waterloo Police arrested 19-year-old Thomas Corsner and a juvenile, whose name is withheld due to age, following a physical altercation on West Main Street. According to police, Corsner and the juvenile attacked another juvenile. When a second juvenile tried to intervene, they were also assaulted.

One victim was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by ambulance for treatment, while the second victim received on-scene care from Emergency Medical Services.

Corsner faces two counts of assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. He was taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for arraignment. The juvenile was charged with one count of assault and released to a guardian with an appearance ticket.

Orders of protection have been requested for the victims. The Waterloo Police Department received assistance from the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Seneca Falls Police, and North Seneca Ambulance.
