Hollywood restaurant in Auburn shutting down after 91 years in business

The family-owned Hollywood Restaurant will close its doors on June 29 after 91 years of serving Italian and American cuisine.

The restaurant announced the closure on its Facebook page. Customers are encouraged to redeem any gift certificates before the final day.

“We thank our wonderful customers, friends, and the community for their support,” the post read. “Our journey has included countless family events, friendships, and marriages. We will miss it all but look forward to the next chapter.”

The Hollywood Restaurant, located at 314 Clark St. Road, was opened by Dan and Rose Cecora in 1933. Their daughter Bridget and her husband Joe Colella took over in 1966, followed by their son Joe Colella Jr.
