Dundee high school wrestler Peyton Mullin honored in Albany (video)

State Senator Tom O’Mara and Assemblyman Phil Palmesano honored Dundee High School wrestler Peyton Mullin on May 20 for her state championship win. Mullin, a freshman, was celebrated on the floors of the state Senate and Assembly with a Legislative Resolution (S2393) recognizing her 235-pound weight class title at the NYSPHSAA Girls Invitational State Championship in January.

Mullin was accompanied by her parents, grandparents, and received praise from her community and legislators. Senator O’Mara and Assemblyman Palmesano lauded her dedication and success, noting her impressive wrestling career and her potential future in the Olympics.

Dundee School officials expressed pride in Mullin’s achievements, highlighting her determination and skill. Mullin, also a track and field champion, will compete in the Fargo Junior Nationals in July. Her accolades include 142 career wins, two NYWAY state titles, and an undefeated record in her weight class.
